i, for one, hope that they upgrade the guitar so that the buttons give you more feel-back when you press it. im the sickest bassist here at Ace 4. anyway, Rock Band 2 will be at E3 and aditional news can be found at G4tv.com.

Shadow’s Section:

Besides the fact that i am the true bassist/guitarist here, the new game is sounding to be awesome. tokagowa hit most of the main points on drum tutorial and what not, but be sure to watch E3 on G4 TV (July 14th-17th) to get the real review and other things that we havent told you. There may be a custom song creation such as the one on Guitar Hero World Tour. Also some songs from AC/DC is rumored to be on the game (finally). The instruments are going throught some major improvements. Creator Harmonix says that they have developed “Quieter, more realistic, and more reliable instruments” for the new game. The guitar will feature a sunburst pattern, features an automatic screen timing calibration, and will be wireless for the Xbox 360. The drum set will still be using the four pads, but is redesigned to be quieter and provide more ‘bounce’, and is also velocity sensative, so, the harder you hit the drums, the louder the notes in the game. The bass petal is to be reinforced with metal to prevent breakage, as it was seen to happen very often on the original game. Original Rock Band instruments will work for Rock Band 2. For the drums, an additional cymbal add-on pack will be available, providing 4 additional cymbal pads to replicate the functions of the original 4 pads, so can hit the same color cymbal pad and it will count. Also, Harmonix and MTV Games are going to be providing limited addition instruments, including a real Fender Stratocaster guitar reoutfitted with the game’s input buttons, so find an image of a Fender Stratocaster and put the 5 fret buttons on it, and a ION Audio electronic drum kit that can work as a standard electric kit, because of it’s “drum brain”, and within Rock Band 2, it features four drum pads, three cymbal pads, and a bass pedal. You’ll be shellin out $299.99 for this drum set, though.

Tha Carter 3 Review

10 07 2008

i just now recently heard Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter 3, and before listening to it, i hated lil wayne

now that i have heard it, i dont hate him, i just think that he is VERY overrated.
it started with an idea to go see hancock with my cusins, but when i entered his car, he started to blast Tha Carter 3. on our way there, i heard what had to be the worst song i have ever heard, excusing soulja boy’s “do do head”.
all i could hear was “WEEZY, phone home! WEEZY, phone home” for at least five minuets straight. it souded like that was all that the song was about. he was screaming so loud i couldnt even hear his own rap.
although, the only great songs worth mentioning on his cd are “A Mili”, because it has a very simple/sick beat and freestyle type rap to it, and “La La LA” (yes, that is the real name of the song) because it has a catchy chorus. to me, the BEST song was “Mr. Carter” which features Jay Z and has the sickest beat on the cd. the chorus is sick too. tracks:

“3 Peat”

“Mr. Carter” feat. Jay-Z

“A Milli”

“Got Money” feat. T-Pain

“Comfortable” feat. Babyface

“Dr. Carter”

“Phone Home”

“Tie My Hands” feat Robin Thicke

“Mrs. Officer” feat Bobby Valentino

“Let The Beat Build”

“Shoot Me Down” feat. D. Carter

“Lollipop” feat. Static Major

“La La La” feat. Brisco & Busta Rhymes

“Playing With Fire” feat. Betty Wright

“You Ain’t got Nuthin” feat. Fabolous & Juelz Santana

“DontGetIt”

other than those three songs, i wouldnt buy anything else. but, this is just my opinion. if you want a better cd with sorta the same style, just pick up a copy of Graduation by Kanye West, or buy Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool.
so at the end of the day, Tha Carter 3 is about average, something you would expect from a guy who raps with a grill in his mouth (mike jones).
so, IN MY OPINION, Tha Carter 3 gets 3 lighting fast Jimmy Johns Subs out of 5
